TRAINING - FP

  • Legal entities and natural persons carrying out business activities with increased or high fire hazards (pursuant to Article 4, provisions 2 and 3, Fire Protection Law Nr. 133/85 Coll., as amended) are obliged to train regularly their employees in fire protection and ensure special training for their employees who are members of fire prevention patrols or who are appointed fire prevention technicians.
  • The obligation to train employees in FP applies to all natural persons who signed an employment or similar contract with a legal entity or a natural person carrying out business activities. Managers and staff members are trained separately.
  • Natural persons who occasionally spend their time in premises of legal entities or natural persons carrying out business activities shall be trained in fire protection if they perform activities listed in Article 4, provisions 2 and 3, Fire Protection Law referred to above, or if they come into contact with such activities.
  • Setting the scope and topics of training for employees, special training for members of fire prevention patrols and fire prevention technicians:
  • Principles of FP training for managersě
    Managers are trained in fire protection by a person with expertise in FP, or an FP technician upon the commencement of their employment and after changing their workplace or position if such change of workplace or position means also a change of or difference in facts presented in the initial training. Managers shall be trained no less than once in three years.
  • Principles of FP training for staff members
    Staff members are trained in fire protection by their manager upon the commencement of their employment and after changing their workplace or position if such change of workplace or position means also a change of or difference in facts presented in the initial training. Staff members shall be trained no less than once in two years.
  • Principles of special training for members of fire prevention patrols k
    Employees who are members of fire prevention patrols (pursuant to Article 24 of the aforesaid Regulation) are specially trained before the start of activities or events with increased or high fire hazards.
  • In case of repeated activities or events with increased or high fire hazards, members of fire prevention patrols shall be trained at least once in a year. Members of fire prevention patrols who are not employees of the legal entity or the natural person carrying out business activities are required to undergo the same special training as members of fire prevention patrols who are their employees.
  • Principles of special training for fire prevention technicians
    Fire prevention technicians (pursuant to Article 25 of the aforesaid Regulation) are specially trained before they start their fire prevention activities and their special training repeats at least once in a year.
  • Principles of FP training for employees in charge of attending a fire alarm terminal
    Employees in charge of attending a fire alarm terminal (pursuant to Regulation of MoI Nr. 246/2001 Coll., Article 35, provision 3), are trained in fire protection by a person with expertise in FP, or an FP technician before they start their activities. Their training repeats at least once in a year.
  • Principles of FP training for employees who are responsible for fire protection during low operation hours
    Employees who are responsible for fire protection during low operation hours (pursuant to Regulation of MoI Nr. 246/2001 Coll., Article 23, provision 4) are trained in fire protection by a person with expertise in FP, or an FP technician before they start their activities. Their training repeats at least once in a year.
